Hello Guys and Girls,
Here is some basic information about textiles that I would like to share with you people. Textile has spread its hands over all trending fields. People who are not aware of textile applications should observe carefully that the car in which they sit, the nurses which they meet in hospital, the astronauts about which they hear in news and much more has maximum 40-50% of textile application.
Being a student of textile technology , I know how much criticism a textile student or a school student faces when it comes to textile related career interest. Even we don't know that it has the least competition when it comes to admission in colleges.
Let me tell you a fact to prove this. Colleges providing textile education is hardly 3 or 4 in whole Gujarat ie MSU Baroda, LD Ahmedabad and one private institute and people generally avoid textiles. One can opt IIT Delhi and NIT Jalandhar for further education in Textiles.
Early days, there were nearly 200 Textile Industries in Ahmedabad , recently it has decreased to 15-20, but this is not the point for disappointment. People just watched this decrease in number but they didn't understood that this number has just migrated to rural area not fully shut off.
Many undergarments, hosiery, sarees , etc textile materials have their huge market in South India.Huge Business magnate MUKESH AMBANI has about 6 plants of textile in India. Under the name Reliance, at Surat, Ahmedabad , Silvasa, Hoshiyarpur are some of the locations. Reliance Industries have manufacturing of polyester mainly. Processing of fabrics, worsted spinning are other key areas of Reliance Industries.
Other plants are Arvind, Trident, Welspun, Shunker Packaging, RV , Dinesh mills, Digjam, Vimal, and much more.....
Very useful information....hope for more...😂
